The Táin Bó Cúailnge, (or 'Cattle Raid of Cooley' in English), is one of the most famous Irish legends. The Táin involves the story of Queen Medb (pronounced 'Mayv') of Connacht and her husband Ailill, who try to steal a sacred brown bull from Ulster.
Much of the action in the Táin is about the hero Cúchulainn who opposes the warriors of Connacht. According to mythology, most of the story took place in County Louth.
